The North Sea Jazz Festival – which began in 1976 in the Netherlands Congress Center in The Hague, has grown into one of the largest international jazz festivals. With fifteen concert halls, approximately 1,300 musicians, and between 65,000 and 70,000 visitors annually, the festival offers a wide range of musical genres, including jazz, blues, funk, and hip hop.

The festival is known for presenting both established artists and new talent, with previous debuts by names such as Shirley Horn and Roy Hargrove. North Sea Jazz remains unique by combining jazz music from the past, present, and future over three days.
