The commemoration will begin at 18.00 in the Maaspodium, where Alderman Abigail Norville will deliver the welcome speech. This will be followed by a silent march to the Lloydkade for the laying of flowers. The official commemoration ceremony will start at 19.00, with speeches by Mayor Carola Schouten and Carlos Gonçalves, chair of GVGT, among others. As every year, there will also be a children’s program in the Maastheater prior to the commemoration, which will take place from 17.00 to 18.00.
